Original Abstracts

A line can become any shape. Tell countless stories. Provoke emotions. Each unique to the person. Abstracts are funny in that way. Most of the time layers upon layers of paint. Covering up “mistakes” only to find out that it was beauty all along. Then stepping back and allowing the painting to speak and tell a story.

There are lots of life lessons that are uncovered while making marks on paper or canvas. Learning while processing life through the lens of a paint brush. Oil sticks. And, a simple #2 pencil.

May these scratches and marks, swipes of the pallet knife, and layers of paint remind you of the stories you get to tell. Or not. Some are precious enough to stay tucked away. Just for those that were there.
